This grammar pattern is all about what you’re feelin’, what you dig, and what you just can’t stand. It’s how you let the crew know what’s up with your tastes. Whether you’re talkin’ ’bout your favorite hustle or some shady cat you can’t stand, this is the way to say it.
Think of がすき and がきらい like your main man and your arch-nemesis. がすき is your main dude. That’s the homie you roll with, the one you got love for, the one you always want around. You put がすき on anything you’re down with, no matter what. It could be money, a slick ride, or just a good smoke. It’s the “I like that” part of your game.
Now, がきらい? That’s the dude who snitched on your crew. The one who’s always tryin’ to cross you. The one you wanna stay far away from. You use がきらい when you’re talkin’ about something you hate, can’t stand, or just wanna get outta your face. It’s the “I hate that” part of your game.
You ain’t gotta be a rocket scientist to figure this out. Just put the thing you like or don’t like before the がすき or がきらい. Easy peasy.

It’s when things ain’t smooth, know what I’m sayin’? When you got a beef with somebody, a dispute over territory, a squabble over a lady—whatever. It’s that drama, that back-and-forth that can turn ugly real quick. Think about the tension between rival crews in “Boyz n the Hood.” That’s momegoto.
こうきゅうしゃ (koukyuusha)
English: Luxury car.
This ain’t no broke-down hoopty. We talkin’ about a fresh whip, a status symbol on four wheels. A luxury car. A Rolls, a Bentley, a Maybach—the kinda ride you pull up in when you wanna show everybody you made it. It’s the kind of car a boss man drives, like Al Pacino in “Carlito’s Way.”
ちゅうせい (chuusei)
English: Loyalty; allegiance.
You gotta have it, man. It’s what keeps a crew tight. Loyalty. It’s the vow you take to stick with your people, through thick and thin, no matter what. It’s having somebody’s back when the heat is on. In “The Godfather,” you see it with the Corleone family. That allegiance to the family is everything.
うそつき (usotsuki)
English: Liar.
This is the word for a snake. A dude you can’t trust, who’s always frontin’ and tellin’ lies. He’s an usotsuki, a phony. The kinda person who will smile in your face and then turn around and tell the cops where the stash is. You can’t deal with cats like that. They get you jammed up.
