Today, we’re droppin’ knowledge on how to talk about what the whole hood is thinkin’, the word on the street, the general consensus. We’re talkin’ ’bout 「～と考かんがえられている」.

This ain’t about what you think. This is about what is thought. It’s how you report the public opinion, the popular theory, the stuff everybody from the corner boys to the big bosses accepts as truth. It’s that rumor that’s so strong, it might as well be fact. You use this when you wanna say “It is considered that…” or “It is believed to be…”. It’s a smooth way to drop some info without puttin’ your own neck on the line. You ain’t sayin’ it, you’re just sayin’ what’s bein’ said. Like when they say a made man can’t be touched—that’s what is thought.

Peep this: you just take your regular ol’ plain form of a verb or an い-adjective and slap 「と考かんがえられている」 on the end. For nouns and な-adjectives, you gotta drop a 「だ」 in there most of the time to keep it flowin’ right. It’s the passive form, see? 「考かんがえられている」 means “is being thought.” So you’re literally sayin’ “[The thing] is being thought as…” It’s that simple. Don’t overthink it, just let the grammar do the heavy lifting for you.
