This is how you ask the boss for something. You ain’t tellin’ him, you ain’t demanding. You are humbly requesting his action. This is you, on one knee.
Common Situation: “Boss, please give me the order.” (ボス、命令をお与えください。) “Please look at this.” (こちらをご覧ください。)
Metaphor: This is kissing the ring. You are showing total submission and respect, asking for the honor of the boss’s action.

This is a pattern, like お～になる.

You take the verb stem (yomimasu -> yomi), wrap it in お (o) and ください (kudasai). This is the only way you should be asking the boss for anything.
