The Nuance: This ain’t like the last one. You’re not comparing two specific things. You’re giving examples of a wider category. “Whether it’s X or Y (or anything else), I’ll handle it.” It’s got an “any” or “whatever” vibe.
Common Situation: “Bring something—whether it’s beer or chips, I don’t care (ビールでも、ポテチでも、何でも持ってこい).” You’re giving examples, not a limited choice.
Metaphor: This is the “A-T-L… ‘Anytime, Anyplace.’” You’re giving examples of a category to show you’re down for whatever. “Whether it’s Tuesday or Wednesday… I’m ready.”
