This is that hardcore, top-down command. You don’t ask, you tell. This is what the boss says to you. It’s old-school, sounds cold, and shows you ain’t got a choice in the matter.
Common Situation: A boss, a drill sergeant, or a movie villain telling their subordinates what to do. “Shut up.” “Get out.” “Bring me the money.”
Metaphor: This is the “King’s Command.” It’s a verbal “dismissed” or “go.” It establishes who’s in charge. You hear this, you don’t talk back, you just do it.

You take the verb stem (the part before masu, like tabe-masu -> tabe) and you just slap たまえ (tamae) on the end. It’s a straight-up command, and it’s cold.

- 余計なことは喋らず、口を閉じたまえ。 よけい な こと は しゃべらず、くち を とじたまえ。 (yokei na koto wa shaberazu, kuchi o tojitamae.) Don’t run your mouth, just shut it.
- お前の忠誠を、今ここで示したまえ。 おまえ の ちゅうせい を、いま ここ で しめしたまえ。 (omae no chuusei o, ima koko de shimeshitamae.) Show me your loyalty, right here, right now.
- あの裏切り者を、さっさと始末したまえ。 あの うらぎりもの を、さっさと しまつしたまえ。 (ano uragirimono o, sassato shimatsushitamae.) Go and… dispose of that traitor already.
- この車を二度と動かせないよう、壊したまえ。 この くるま を にど と うごかせない よう、こわしたまえ。 (kono kuruma o nido to ugokasenai you, kowashitamae.) Break this car so it can never run again.
- この壁一面に、我々のタグを描きたまえ。 この かべ いちめん に、われわれ の タグ を かきたまえ。 (kono kabe ichimen ni, wareware no tagu o kakitamae.) Paint our tag over this entire wall. (Graffiti/Turf)
- 奴が何を企んでいるか、吐かせたまえ。 やつ が なに を たくらんで いる か、はかせたまえ。 (yatsu ga nani o takurande iru ka, hakasetamae.) Make him spit out what he’s planning.
- 証拠はすべて燃やしたまえ。 しょうこ は すべて もやしたまえ。 (shouko wa subete moyashitamae.) Burn all the evidence.
- 俺の目の前から消えたまえ。 おれ の め の まえ から きえたまえ。 (ore no me no mae kara kietamae.) Get the hell out of my sight.
